We regret to inform you that Dr Trina Gregory will be leaving the Watson General Practice after 1st December 2017. Dr Gregory has made some significant contributions to the Watson General Practice and we wish her well in her decision to move to a practice nearer her home. We have arrangements in place to ensure that you can continue to receive quality general practice care at Watson General Practice.
Dr Lynda Newman and Dr Andrew Palfreman will both continue to work at Watson General Practice.
Dr Gillian Riley will be joining us from 6th December 2017. She will be working part-time at Watson General Practice. Dr Riley obtained her medical degree from the ANU and has an Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She has worked as a GP in Anna Bay, Queanbeyan and Gungahlin. Her interests include women’s health, sexual and reproductive health including counselling about all forms of contraception, pre-pregnancy preparation, antenatal shared care and post-partum support, breastfeeding medicine, children’s health and mental health.
Dr Elizabeth Sturgiss will also be working part-time as a locum for the practice in December 2017 and January 2018. Dr Sturgiss completed her medical degree at the University of Newcastle. She has a Master of Public Health from the University of Newcastle and a Master of Forensic Medicine from Monash University. She is currently completing her PhD on the role of the general practitioner in the management of obesity.
Dr Morgan Sheridan, who is a GP registrar, will be leaving us at the end of January 2018 to continue his training at another general practice. We wish him well in his training and hope to see him back some day. We will have two full-time advanced GP registrars joining us in February 2018.
